    Connolly signed around 80 players in his time at Palmy and as Dougal says the majority of the ones from the north east
    of England were flops - would take another Bowser or Nelly though

    Another player Skelton might be interested in could be Mark Beck. Let go by Carlisle last summer and spent a year at Yeovil and Wrexham on loan where he had very little success.

    Having said that he had a spell at Falkirk on loan a while back that seemed to go OK. BIg lad!

    I'll second that Spike . Have to say that I didn't rate Bowey's football ability highly but his attitude was second to none . The saying " playing for the shirt" could be applied more to him more than just about anyone I can think of .
