Thread: Club Account on MAD

    Club Account on MAD

The club and MAD admins have been discussing how the club can use the forum better to keep fans up to date with news from the club.

The first suggestion was to create an "official" account on MAD and this is it. We'll try and use this to post on MAD whenever news etc is announced by the club, in much the same way as we do on facebook and twitter.

We'll also try and answer any posters questions but Im sure you'll all understand that we cant comment on speculation or rumour, or debate things in the way other posters can.

If anyone has any other ideas on how MAD and the club can work better together please let us know

This is a great idea and a fantastic opportunity for the fans and BOD to work together towards their common goal, - namely (I hope) SPL football for QOS.

I understand that some fans will find in frustrating that not every snippet of information or good idea is replied to, but at least there is an opportunity for fans to air their points of view.

May I urge all concerned to think before they commit to the keyboard, and not to go all gun's blazing five minutes after a poor performance on the pitch. Have a couple of beers and a good nights sleep before considering the rant!

The signing from Carlisle, Rigg, does not appear on the squad list on the official website. Is there a reason for this omission?

A fine example of how this could prove to be a good endeavor.

Rigg not appearing in the squad list is hardly worthy of a news item on the OS, but it was a query of big enough importance that Spike felt the need to ask it. The newly created OS account was then able to answer the question before the usual rumour mongering, or criticism of the club began.

Whilst not perfect, I don't personally feel the club are especially bad at communicating. Certainly not to the extent they seem to be criticised for. However I applaud any steps taken to appease those that do feel this way. Well done and good luck to whoever is running the account, I fear you might need it!

Will the club be keeping the fans up to date with how many season tickets we've sold just like the majority of other clubs throughout Scotland ..?

This has the makings of something good and entertaining similar to what the "Big blue nose" did on the OS a while back
