Club or country

There's been a lot of heat and anger churned out following yet another disappointing tournament performance by England but I feel quite ambivalent about it all.
Whereas I always hope England do well I care much, much more about what the Millers do and I suspect most football supporters are more passionate about their club rather than their country.
What do you guys think?

With the 50+ years of hurt it's easy to see why club will usually win out over country.

However, I think the sport as a whole is facing some big challenges over the next 10 years from the financials to the location of the next two World Cups and most importantly of all as a spectacle. Maybe it's just me but I grew up playing the game and loved watching it but as exemplified by 90% of Euro2016 games it has become boring beyond belief.
