Voting Remain and stating that I would vote Remain again is consistent

Accepting the democratic result of the referendum and admonishing those who aim to frustrate that, especially by belittling those who voted Leave, again is consistent

I'm not criticising yourself for being consistent and you've 'held your end' admirably although repeating the same three or four issues has got a bit boring, my area of criticism is for those like Swale who's POV is made from 'within a bubble' and often seems to include a characterisation of Leavers as too thick to know what's good for them.

Oh I’ve been good at ‘holding my end’ for years.

Seriously though...I know where I stand on Brexit and I know where Swale stands...I even know where MoP stands, although we disagree completely, but I can’t say the same for you or Parky.

As for Swale...I think I am a little more restrained in a forum context but I doubt anyone is better informed about Brexit than him and actually, although it may not be politically correct to say so, those Leavers taken in by Johnson’s lies, Farage’s persona as a ‘man of the people’ and the whole notion that the negotiations would be the ‘easiest ever’ were, imo, pretty thick.

I believe I'm of same perspective as Andy. Voted remain but prepared to accept the decision of the referendum (however ill determined you may think it was).

Beyond that simple assessment, it's fun, as a sceptical remainer, winding up hard core remainers.

I get your mischief making, Parky...you remind me so much of that Ramjet chap who may thankfully still be found over on the V*tal site. You did though vote for the decidedly anti-Brexit ‘Greens’, so perhaps not so ‘sceptical’ as you make out.

Andy, I don’t think you’re quite the same, you love to run with the hares and hunt with the hounds imo.
I’ve no idea what Swales’ ‘bubble’ is but your swipe at he and I was unfounded as is your criticism of my arguments.

How can my argument change when the situation hasn’t? I wish it had...Brexit is bloody boring...but it is also important and until someone, you even, can show how...
    a) Brexit isn’t going to make the people of the UK worse off.
    b) Brexit isn’t going to impact negatively upon much needed European unity.
    c) Brexiteers represent the ‘voice of the people’.
    d) the main political proponents of Brexit are anything other than a bunch of dishonest and self serving elitist hypocrites
...then my arguments will remain, consistently, unaltered.

Feel free to climb down from your fence and have a go.

Speaking of Roger the Dodger, would it not be appropriate to offer him a pardon and invite him to return to this site?

And of course the supreme irony that we would have had Brexit by now but for a cabal of 34 hard right rich ****s in the Tory party voting against the withdrawal agreement aided and abetted by 10 stubborn bigots stuck back in the 1950's from our colony across the irish sea(who won't stand for NI being treated differently from the rest of the Uk, unless of course it suits their bizarre religious bigoted view in which case its fine!), never has £! billion been spent so unwisely!

[QUOTE=ramAnag;39214618]Fair point about the Royal Mail, but ‘absolute arsehole’ seems to be overstating things about one of our more decent and credible politicians imo.

Agree with your final paragraph and hope you’re right but yes, in the name of political self preservation, I fear that May and Corbyn might cobble together something that sufficient MP’s find acceptable.[/QUO
Decent? he is an avid opportunist, who threw away any principles he might have had for a chance of power and enthusiastically supported some of the harsher Tory policies of the coalition government. Credible - eh the Post Office privatization farce was one example albeit a bloody big one of how he has no credibility! The blokes a massive ****!
