Well, I watched four of Portugal's games and I would say they were marginally second-best in all of them!
My wife watched quite a few games with me, and she said they confirmed her preference for rugby. Her argument is that the better team nearly always wins in rugby, regardless of tactics.
I know we can fall back on the old cliche that only the "points" count, but I have to say there have been a lot of matches where the result has not reflected the game as a whole.
I have always resisted changes to the rules, but I wonder if we would get more goals if dotted lines were marked from the outer edge of the penalty-area to the sidelines, and players could only be off-side when positioned goal-side of that line.
