    Benfica v Derby

We are getting spanked 3-0 now, we did not touch the ball for 20 mins.
They do look a sharpe team though.. Way too good for us.

Drew 0-0 last time I saw us play them in Lisbon. The floodlights went out too.

You can only dream of that sort of failure.. How's Demis Roussos getting on with his fat and proper persons test?

Although there was a few under 21s in the side Pearson made it clear he was expecting more from the teams (1st and second half) and said he's learned a lot about his players!!! Will be interesting to see what team he puts out first game o the season!

Was probably a big ask for our first real preseason game. Pearson and Martin, now that is going to be interesting.. Martin gone before we kick a ball anybody?

I never quite get folks that take pre seasons so seriously.
They mean nothing but fitness and usually player acclimatisation. In your case a new manager as well.
I respect Pearson, for all his mouth he certainly doesn't take any prisoners getting players motivated/focused.
Probably one or two of your prima donas are going to fall foul of him. But that isn't a bad thing.
May take half a dozen league games to get Derby going, but I think he will.
If Pearson leaves, it would be by his own silliness, not performances.
