    Siri knows the truth.

RANGERS fans are furious with iPhone’s Siri - after the Apple application claimed the club is just four years old.

The voice-activated programme says the Ibrox outfit was founded in 2012 following the Glasgow team's financial troubles.

And supporters – who are regularly taunted by rival fans after Rangers went into liquidation four years ago - are fuming

Apple declined to comment but a source close to the firm said: "It’s not a deliberate attempt to deceive or mislead.

December 19, 2012, is the day when shares in Rangers began trading on the London Stock Exchange.

    Celtic:

    Business Summary
Operates football club and ancillary activities
Celtic Plc engages in the operating of professional football club and ancillary activities which includes a wide range of activities, including match ticketing and stadium operations, merchandising, multimedia and publications.
It is organized into three main operating divisions: Football and Stadium Operations, Merchandising and Multimedia and Other Commercial activities.
The company was founded by Andrew Kerins on November 6, 1887 and is headquartered in Glasgow, the United Kingdom.
Number of employees : 455 persons.

    Rangers
    Business Summary
    Operates and manages football club
Rangers International Football Club Plc operates a professional football club and other ancillary businesses in the United Kingdom.
The company was founded November 16, 2012 and is headquartered in Glasgow, the United Kingdom.

Now, the bit about Celtic actually reveals much more than the bit about rangers, since it confirms what everyone - except deluded huns - already knows - that once a club is 'incorporated' it becomes the company, and the company is the club. Celtic became a PLC in 1897 but, since the club and company are the same thing, it shows as being founded in 1887. If the company goes down the pan - bearing in mind that the company owns the badge, the stadium, the property, the players' contracts - the club is gone - dead, kaput.
I'm sure you can create a new club out of the bones of the old one, but it will always be a new club, and the old one will always be dead.
