    Skippy away?

Daily Mail Scotland is carrying a story that Scott McDonald is in talks about a move to Sydney FC. If this is true and we have just sent Craig Moore back to Ayr, what the hell is going on? Louis Moult is going for an op, while Blyth - who is not fully fit - and is unproven, plus Mackin, again unproven, are left as our strikers. I can only think that when we drew up our budget to finish 10th, have no cup runs and no transfers, we assumed we were getting the home games against Rangers which we then, subsequently, found out was not the case. Therefore, the budget has been trashed. It looks pretty bleak but all we can do is rely on MM to make the best of what he has and see if we can get a couple of loans - creative midfield being the priority.

When we were losing money previously some people called for us to budget for the absolute minimum we could expect to make - you have to fear that this what that sort of squad looks like. It's probably not a stick on certainty to be relegated but 10th will be real battle. There are currently questions - not small concerns, big ****-off capital letter QUESTIONS - over not just the personnel but the way the squad is being built...why do we have two potentially first-choice senior keepers? Why do we have a gazillion defenders and no midfield? Why sign Moore just to let him go again? Surely we can't be doing the same with Skippy?

In principle I try not to panic until the close of the transfer window as only then can you truly see what our squad looks like and the competition they'll be up against it but this is as concerned as I can remember being in any pre-season for years...unless we have a couple of blue chip U20s on the verge of breaking through, we look to be serious trouble.

It's getting worse! Daily Record reports he will leave "if we rip up his contract and let him go as a free agent". Stuff that. If they ( now revealed as Western Sydney Wanderers) want him they can pay. Time to show some balls, Alan Burrows. We roll over and have our tummy tickled too often, "nice family club" - time to remember we are a business. So what if Skippy goes in the huff if he does not get a move. Transfer fee or he stays.

McDonald wants his cake and eat it? Funny how when things tourned sour at Hibs he was desperate to play for this great family club, but now someone else has stepped in with an offer he wants to leave,IMO he can go when fee is paid or he pays himself to be released. All his dithering has possibly cost us a potential replacement for him, in the shape of the centre forward who was at Dunfermline and is now on trial at Blackburn Rovers.Club have to act fast and say wether McDonald is staying or going so as we can move forward one way or another!

We should only pay what we can afford and from the outside is doesnt look if we are spending it wisely. Giving McManus, Lasley and Hammel extensions shows a complete lack of imagination. They will still be bigger earners pay cut or not but they should have been released and better future planning. What I find strange is we are told wed lose 180,000 a season when Rangers went down so why do we have less money this season when they are back. Yet again all we hear in the media is us bleating how skint we are. Why are we the only club in the top league constantnly moaning how skint we are. Its the only story the club generates in the media and its been that way for years.

Club statement just popped up on a twitter notification stating that we have rejected the bid and Skippy is staying.

Steviex strongly suspect that is something Ainsworth's agent keeps putting out trying to make people think that Ainsworth is a good player,as we all know it couldn't be further from the truth. His agent will eventually learn that you can kid some of the people some of the time but you can't kid true football fans any of the time.IMO I wouldn't be upset if Ainsworth never featured for us again!
