    Annan Athletic next for Motherwell

There's no room for a banana skin. A convincing win is needed.

Nothing less than a win and a comfortable one at that will do given the competition for the 4 best runners up spots.

I reckon we'll make a pigs ear of it as per usual with cup matches. Wether we do enough to scrape the win remains to be seen.

McDonald is out, the struggling Moult starts and Lasley returns. We have a trialist, Lee Lucas in midfield. Time will tell.

Well, we did win 3-1 but it sounds far from convincing with an odd team. Even this early in the season the threadbare squad seems to be struggling. Our injury prone trialist, Lee Lucas, was, you've guessed it, taken off injured.

Still a wins a win but it was disappointing, although not surprising, that we didn't manage a clean sheet.

Granted I only followed on Twitter and saw the highlights, but losing a silly goal apart, I don't think much more can be asked of the team from Saturday. The win never seemed in doubt, only question was how many.
