    Marvin Johnson on the radar!

Several clubs were represented at our game against Annan, with Marvin Johnson being the player on everyone's radar.Sources suggest that a definite bid is coming in from Oxford United for Johnson with other bids coming in from other clubs.IMO Johnson would be an extremely big loss to us this season and don't know if we can afford points and goal creating abilities to let him go.

We can't afford not to sell him - assuming a decent bid comes in - that's what our existence is based on.

Harsh as it sounds, having a difficult time replacing a good player we've sold is what we should be aiming for, not fearing.

He will need to be sold at some point as thats now part of long term strategy and of our our current owner has to be paid off. However, I suspect that the player and his agent will, rightly, set their sights somewhat higher than Oxford United.

Exactly if we get a decent offer we should be happy. Johnston is a decent player no more right now. Against decent opposition hes often missing. Football fans see pace and it mesmerises them into thinking they are watching something exceptional when very often other parts of the players game is poor. Johnston may well develop into the type of player some think he is now but Id rather replace him now for decent money before he genuinely is irreplaceable.
