    Todays Other Games, 2016/2017 Edition.

Didn't realise it all started today. Should be a good game, Newcastle at Fulham and I can even watch it live on TV. Acquired the BEIN sports channel recently and they show the championship games and also have a review program so I should get to see, for better or worse, the Wanderers quite often.

One to look forward to tonight before our season kicks off tomorrow. On paper Newcastle should run away with the league, but things don't always go as some may predict.

Just realised it's Big Macs debut game for Fulham. Added interest there.

Been strange seeing him in a Fulham shirt, he must prefer the pricier West London Pubs!! Pretty standard fair at the mo neither side seems to really have the upper hand.

A quality header by Matt Smith to give Fulham the lead, Newcastle will look back at the penalty that wasn't given, 1-0.

Game opened up a bit the last 10 mins or so. Hopefully the second half will be a bit livelier. Not very encouraging for Newcastle though.

An early wake up call for Newcastle United in the championship. Matt Smith's goal wins it, the referee made crucial decisions in not awarding the away side a penalty, the first one i thought should've been given. No easy games in this league.
