WEEK 1

Eleven entrants for week 1, and plenty of time for new entrants to catch up. Six of us got at least one correct score, and well done to Howoldblue who got 2. Millwall v Oldham generated the most points of any game, and shame on you Southblue; the only competitor not to get a point from that fixture. There were 31 goals scored in the 12 games, so Buc takes the bonus point as he was closest (32). One point, a bit like Aberdeen yesterday.

Another lovely day in paradise; well, for some. It's early in the season and teams haven't settled down yet, in fact some look as though they haven't been introduced. That makes predictions difficult.

OK, so that's my excuses for some of you out of the way - 5 of you only scored 1 or 2. Howoldboy took the bonus as he was only 20 away from the Newcastle crowd which was 52,079. Around 50,000 of them would have been VERY disappointed. Well done to Cayambe who top-scored with 10, which included two correct scores. Buc still sits at the summit and very well done to him.

WEEK 3

It's a well-known fact that if you aren't in, you can't win. Well, THREE of you seemed to forget, or couldn't be bothered to enter this week, and even though the new rule gives you the same points as the lowest scorer, you've ALL dropped down the table. That'll teach you to take holidays, or enjoy an outdoors lifestyle when there's more important stuff going on.

Lowest scorers this week were myself, Deezel and AussieBranch with 3. There were also three top-scorers; Piglet, Howoldboy and PostmanPete who managed 8. No-one scored points in three of the games which demonstrates how surprising early-season results can be. The formbook needs to be written before we can read it.

Last goal at Cambridge was scored in the 59th minute and Southblue was closest with 66.

WEEK 4

Well at least only two of you forgot this week; unfortunately for Buc it was the second week running and he falls from 4th to 7th. Bonus went to Chalky who was spot-on with 10. Howoldblue just keeps on turning in good scores and is deservedly still on top. Meanwhile, last year's champ Piglet was joint bottom-scorer with 3 and sinks to 6th. Congratulations to Cayambe who got out of bed to top-score with 9 (count 'em) and shoots up to second in the table.

Still all to play for, and new entrants will start as an EOB on 10 points, so it's still not too late to bring your mates along.
