It's not happening for Harry Kane in front of goal tonight, poor first touch. I'm not surprised to see Kane replaced by Sturridge. Lallana was so unlucky with his chance that came back off the post, the closest so far for England.

If any player has deserved a goal in this game, it has to be Lallana, third time lucky for him after going close twice in this half. It's the 1-0 win that counts, the performance hasn't been great, but three points on the board.

deserved the win albeit against a side down to 10 for most of the 2nd half.

national side is not making much/any progress ,,the manager should be able to pick
loadsa top players from the prem sides, but just as this country is swamped with
overseas folk , the prem is the same with overseas players.,,

no doubt the useless..shrek, sterling .citizen. walker. henderson and hart will all start
    the next match...

    not impressed at all

So many false beginnings, dawns, hope.

I gave up getting excited about England after 1996. I cringe when I hear about a new beginning after just about every feckiin tournament disaster.
We will do well in the qualifiers, we almost always do.
Then we meet some real competition.
    And fail.

Good luck to Sam Allardyce I say, I like him regardless of his style but let's get real, you could have Mourinho, Guardiola, Ferguson in charge of our mediocre lot and we still wouldn't produce.

To me the England manager job is like asking Da Vinci to paint the Mona Lisa then giving him a pasting brush to do it with.

    Whatever that means
