    The economic argument for independence would have been clearer in 1999 but Scots were happy with the Toytown Parliament and the opportunity was lost. Never going to happen now.

    Not sure if full independence is that wonderful an idea to be honest.
    I would personally prefer full fiscal autonomy - all the money Scotland makes, Scotland keeps and Scotland spends.
    I would still pay into a combined armed forces, combined postal service, health service, DVLA etc but in every other case, all Scotland spends is what Scotland earns.

    Full independence is a wonderful idea but has there ever been a precedent where the population were doing ok for themselves and then risked it all by going it alone. Scotland needs the rUK market, can you imagine if there was to be a different currency, Scotland would be drained as most folk would send their money to rUK banks.

    Sorry Paddy its actually Westminsters Debt, On record they have taken full responsibility for that (keep up min) Scotland could walk away from that if we were a bunch O C***ts like you keep referring to us. But fairs fair even with our share of that debt. We'd still be better off. Our GDP is better !! look it up you wee flat nosed squat man

    Wee steps at a time. The scottish people are on a journey. Lies are now being exposed, The economic argument is still strong ! and that ultimately will persuade the Scottish people. WE ARE A WEALTHY COUNTRY that's a fact check it oot min.

    So if an iScotland started with 300BILLION of debt.......we'd still be better off
