it's too late now, the oil has been squandered, too many English are living in the country. They are not going to vote for independence, perhaps the polish will down to Engxit. The numbers will never be on the side of independence. You can't ignore that people living in scotland voted No by 55-45, you can't.

Considering that for most of my lifetime it has been about 75-25 against, it is understandable that the indies believe their support is increasing. It is hard to argue

Great post and very true Taintedice
Unfortunately the SNP are ignoring the 55% and going on with their separatist agenda instead of running the country to the best of their ability, chunts

It reached its peak and is now on the slide
I was reading yesterday that Ruth Davidson and Theresa May are now more popular than Sturgeon which is not surprising as people are now seeing her for what she really is. Very pleasing

Taintedice. Scotland has a very diverse economy and fantastic potential. Even without oil we are a very viable country. I agree the oil resources has been squandered. But they say there is up to 40 year of oil left. there are massive fields west of Shetland untouched the Clyde estuary. And the whole point of Indy is to be able to manage our own economy and do it better.

The English living here did mainly vote No but they can be persuaded but we must get our arguments right this time. Sure there are also the land of hope and glory types who will stand alongside the rule Brittania hun. but in the greater scheme of things they are a small minority.

Nobody is ignoring those who voted no in 2014. But thing have changed significantly and many who did vote no are feeling they have been betrayed and conned. You cant expect to tell a whole Nation a load of bullsh1t as better together did and then renege on almost every single one of the promises. If people of Scotland are happy and excepting of that then they really don't deserve Independence.

The polls aren't changing, whether people really care about broken promises or not, the people who could be persuaded to change to Yes need to be convinced on the basics like currency and what relationship iScotland would have with rUK. I can't believe many Scots care that much about the EU, bunch oh whanks that they are.
