Sounds terrible what she went through with this guy. It sounds though like as soon it was formally raised an investigation took place and the guy was gone. Not clear if he was sacked or resigned.
As for the Torbett comparisons which Sheila is obviously alluding to. He wasn't an employee of Celtic when the alleged (at the time) abuse took place but Stein made sure he got nowhere near Celtic Park after hearing about it.

Yes but he also made sure he was free to walk the streets, potentially to abuse other young boys.

He wasn't employed by Celtic and nothing had been substantiated at the time. Back then attitudes towards child abuse was different, it wasn't talked about. Employers didn't have child protection policies, police didn't take it seriously and didn't know how to deal with it. Thankfully in the last couple of decades there has been a societal shift in dealing with child abuse.
I'm sure Willie Waddell the then Rangers manager laughing when he said Rangers fans beat up their wives after a defeat would have different attitude now.

You could have posted it yourself and condemned the actions of the *** abuser who was allowed to leave quietly and find employment elsewhere, he should have been investigated by the police, charged with ***ual assault and jailed, but that would have meant publicity and the name of the yahoos connected to *** abuse again, sadly those in charge chose to hide it away and sweep it under the carpet preventing the victim any closure and feeling guilty.
Celtic have dealt with this in identical fashion as they did before, they allowed the pedophile Torbett to carry on with his abuse and even brought him back to the club at a later date, Stein to his credit did indeed boot the beast right out the club, but that was to keep the name of the club clean, he done the decent thing and should not be blamed for any part of it, however the Kelly family knew of the abuse and defended Torbett.

You also say it was different back then and no one would have believed the victims and you may be partly right, the children being abused may not have been believed, but considering it was an open secret and he had confessed, any number of influential figures within Celtic could have spoken up, but chose not to, pedophiles rely on fear from their victims, that is why it is essential when others find out for them to report it, saying "it was different back then" is quite pathetic, child molesters were jailed in the 70's and had Kevin Kelly or any other who knew what was going on reported the crime he would have gone to prison, as it was it was covered up.

There are also the reports of Frank Cairney who allegedly abused kids in 1991-

Celtic have never been brought to bear on this and the full extent of the abuse will never be known, most of the victims will take the secret to their graves due to some misplace loyalty to the yahoos, and this latest revelation proves once again that the yahoo will do anything to protect the name of that club, even if it means ruining the lives of those who dedicate their lives to it.
