    Sit down Potato head......official

Steve Bruce will be confirmed as the new manager of Aston Villa on Wednesday.
Bruce has agreed a 3million a year deal after emerging as the leading contender for the Villa board and will be unveiled officially within the next 48 hours.

Take a bow Steve Bruce and welcome to B6

Hopefully you lot will do a U-turn from the norm and get behind your manager for a change.

Everytime you hit a sticky patch your fanbase seems to put a lot of pressure on the club to get rid of the latest incumbent in the Villa Park hot-seat.

Can't see this happening though. When you inevitably hit a poor run you'll be demanding 'Agent Fat Head' be removed and be citing his 'Small Heath past' as reasons to get rid.

Doubt he'll even see out the season.

    Thanks for that OutandProud

I think after 9 years since he left the blouse we don't see him as anything other than an experienced manager. This league is all about sticky patches and getting thru them. A win rate if 50% and he will be the best thing since Ron

He's got til March and if we're not top, they'll devour him like we seem to do all our children at Villa. Fans, wonderful we are.

Is this your opinion?.... or did you read the drivel by our other guest troll “toptit” ?

Have a look on ebay/amazon, one of them might have an idea, you might be able to pass off as original thought!

Did you copy that reply from the Guardian freer?

Seems to be a few people jumping on the ex-blues connection with their razor-sharp wit, Freer must be quaking in his boots!

Welcome Mr Steve Bruce, the derby game coming up should be a tasty affair - hopefully we will have a win or two under our belts as they'll be full of confidence. To be fair they are doing brilliantly defensively with only 3 goals conceded, Huddersfield's 14 goals for is proof you can win games without prolific strikers - it's all about knowing how to manage.

Good luck SB, you'll need it but we're right behind you

Delighted with this appointment. Not excited ( I'm beyond those feelingS after the last few years), just hopeful. Hopeful that we give him a good few years to get it right. If Bruce can't do it, no one can. UTV

I think there are many managers who can do it, they just need time and a squad that knows each other!

Hardly anyone wanted RDM to be sacked, I certainly didn't, it was more to do with our chairman being of the social media generation and thinking the world is run by Twitter. Memo to Tony - stop that please.

However, in Bruce we trust! Been there and done it in the Championship, slimmed down to only half a blimp, a grown up at last. We have the players, now apply the old head to get the results.
