    Reality check

Queen's start to the season caught us all by surprise but let's remember we had a fully fit squad to select from with the inspirational addition of Dobbie bringing a lift to all on the field and off. When fully fit we have we have a solid defensive line that was playing so well that the Skipper Higgins could not regain his place when he returned to full fitness. Up front we had many options to chose from and I for one was certainly excited by the attacking threat that Queens posed to any of the teams in the division. That said there were some glaring deficiencies in that the midfield looked weak and overall the squad was vulnerable to a run of injuries as we hall all seen recently.
Most teams have there share of injuries and when we played Hibs at Palmerston I was so envious of the bench they had whereas we essentially had only academy/development players at our disposal. Tapping as a midfielder I do like as he seems to have time on the ball others do not and this tends to be a mark of a decent player unfortunately he came with a reputation of being injury prone and I fear for his future in the game. I am not aware if Hilson had similar injury concerns at his last club but his run has been unfortunate to say the least and he is currently badly missed at the moment. The other injuries are run of the mill which we must try and play around but if the club could get some loan players in to plug some of the gaps this would alleviate some of the current issues.
Basically Queens with a fully fit side are a match for most teams in the Championship so we just need to have a bit of patience through this difficult time so that we can get players fit again and then we can truly show our real form again.
    Mon the South.

The reality is our squad isn't big enough and injuries plus possible suspensions were always going to come back and haunt us
What happened other two quality players Jim Thomson promised us after the Stephen Dobbie signing ? Jim was quick enough to take ALL the praise when Dobbie signed again but since then has went silent . Come on then Jim , where are the quality players and where are you ?
Time to face up to your responsibilities and failure to add to the squad eh !!!!!

Was there not a rumour of Bob Harris?

Perhaps Carmichael is one of the players.....

There is no doubt 84yards that another couple of quality players signed at the beginning of the season would have helped with this current injury situation we are now facing.

That's correct Spike . Why can't people see that instead of some sticking up for people who have actually failed to bring in more players before the transfer window closed . The young lads who've been on the bench recently aren't good enough , YET . It's a massive step up for them playing a poor u20's league to the Championship . It's great experience for them but the reality is they wouldn't be anywhere near the bench if we had a bigger 1st team squad

So Jimbo is being made the scapegoat for not bringing players in - there are other people involved notably the manager and also our chairman who controls the purse strings

Didn't see them taking all the credit for the Dobbie signing and it wasn't them who were quoted as bring in another 2 quality players

Don't be scared to criticise Admin . They have no power over you

Having been involved with this site for over 15 years I am not scared or intimidated by anyone. Also personal vendettas against players/officials is not healthy.
