    Did it say the date it wo tekken ESR ?

    Hard to tell how owd Norman wo in that photo. If he wo abart 23 that ed mek it 70 years ago that ed mek it just after Second World War.

    Tha can almost see the relief and joy in their faces as they stride art in the fresh air wi no thoughts of the Hun hiding in the hedges wi guns. Thedda been walking through fields at Ward Green cos mooist a 'arses wuntabeen built at that time.

    A worrintheear sumweear as a 16 yr old.
    A can see Roma wi his trilby hat on and his flashers long coit he still uses darn Hound Hill. (Just behind the lad in the white top)
    Thuz a teycher from Grove St Skooil theear at the front telling off the four urchins fo skippin skooil.
    No mates Acido is theear on the reyt. Still the same glass on the wall.
    Great times. Proper old school.

    A wonder what year it wo when they cladded the West Stand façade wi that corrugated steel? Any body know art o curiosity?

    Nowt much changed really in 50 odd year, great picture

    Also what year did we put them floodleets up??

    Can't remember what year floodlights went up but I seem to think we baptized them with a game against Morton.

    That war done in 1981 pass to smarten grarnd up after gettin promotion to old second division under Norman Hunter


    Floodlights were done around 1977 I think mate .

    Cheers mate although a tek it 1977 is a typo cos photo wo Tekken in '64 and floodleets er already up. Did tha mean '57?
