    We Puffin tossers shouldn't be too hard on Mason - It's very likely that Swans, like all those traditional industries that were the only reason for it to exist in the first place, have probably not been seen in Dumbarton for many years...

    Two points. Firstly, there have been folk cutting about Dumbarton long before anyone settled in that desolate landscape & called it Aberdeen. It's not even close.

    Secondly, here's a picture of some swans on the beautiful River Leven. Note that they are not flying.

    They usually fly at night. If you had electricity and street lighting in Dumbarton you'd of seen them flying for yourself you teuchter 😅

    As for your first point there's been folk in Aberdeen since about 6000 years BC. Dumbarton has a bonny big rock though so it's not all dull in your village 😃
