Tim Robinson Referee Stats This Season

Tim Robinson the referee who disallowed a Millers goal, & sent off Richard Wood, at Hillsborough on Saturday 17th December, has had a busy season up to now, in bookings & red cards.

After being referee in 20 matches up to last Saturday, Robinson has dished out 5 red cards & 94 yellow cards.
14 Championship matches 5 red cards & 63 yellow cards.
    02 League 1 matches 4 yellow cards.
    02 League 2 matches 19 yellow cards.
    01 EFL match ............. 3 yellow cards.
    01 F.L. Trophy match ... 5 yellow cards.

In 2 championship matches he dished out 8 yellows & 1 red card Newcastle v Wolves.
& 7 yellows & 1 red card in the game between Brentford v Nottingham Forest.

In division 2 match he gave 10 yellows in Portsmouth v Wycombe
& 9 yellow cards in Leyton Orient v Exeter.

Saturday's match showed Joe Mattock & Darnall Fisher yellow cards, & red card for Wood, for Millers, then Steven Fletcher for the owls, but I read that Aymen Belaid was yellow carded for complaining to ref about Wood's sending off, so this would bring another yellow to the total.

PS With Wood's red card being quashed, Robinson will have dished out 4 reds.

With the bookings he does, he ought to be sponsored by Biro.

Bit like FIFA, no one seems accountable. So much at stake though and very wrong.

Technology is necessary. Not every one likes it but a video ref in the stands could have reversed the injustice in seconds on Saturday.

Looking at a report about Robinson's refereeing of the Owls v Millers match. "He was pedantic, whistle happy & picky, which ruined the flow of the game".

He was the man in charge yesterday, Yeovil Town v Exeter City, where he kept his pencil busy, he yellow carded 6 players.

Someone mentioned (red and green?) that the reds cards we got in the championship have been rescinded.

So isn't it about time some rule came into force

Not all, but one each season. Anyone might think that referees are over keen to penalise us more than some other teams. Clearly Robinson's decisions took 3 point from us and handed them to wendy. whilst we currently belong bottom of the table, it doesn't help when there is a drip, drip of minor 50/50 decisions go against us. We've had seven penalties awarded against us, how many of those were clear?

as Monday's fourth official was the clown Richard Clark, I thought he would have bleeped the ref to say that Tom Adeyemi's shot had bounced down behind the line off the cross bar

Tim Robinson carried on his quest to give cards out yesterday, he refereed the Millwall v Gillingham game, in which Millwall won 2-1.

He gave out 5 yellow cards & 2 red cards during the game, his total now in 22 games - 107 yellow / 07 red cards.
One red card was recinded for the Millers Wood, but the stats still count it given during a game.

He ought to be called Maverick, with his love of cards.
