Former Queens Player and Fan's Favourite Des McKeown's Arctic Trek

Two weeks tomorrow I head out to the Arctic on behalf of Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity along with some old pals and, very importantly, some new friends that I have met on this challenge to trek 100km in three days in -30 degrees.

I'd like to thank everyone for their support over the last few months and for their words of encouragement.

Numerous people have asked for details of my Justgiving Page and that is highlighted below along with a short video that my good friend and fellow trekker Steve Timoney and I presented at our charity Arctic Ball in October.

Thanks in advance for any donations - these will be directly used to help fund the Office for Rare Conditions in Children.

Donation made. Good luck to Des. I've had the pleasure of spending some time working in and around schools in the Arctic in recent years, one of which was closed for the day when the temperature reached under -40 Celsius! He'll be fine as long as he keeps moving and looks out for bears...
