Certainly not mucking aboot and I would not be surprised to see more of the younger lads going out on loan as he hopes to bring in more new players to strengthen the pool

Naysmith has raided his old club and signed defender Scott Mercer from East Fife

I had heard the rumour that Naysmith had targeted Mercer. I think he can play on either side at full back.

Problem with training in Dumfries is attracting players down from the central belt. Why would they come down here two or three times a week when they can earn the same or more on or near their doorstep without the commuting..

Not enough full-time contracts available, there will always be an excess of players looking for one.

Been reading about the new signing Mercer. Apparently a very ' modern' full back who likes to get up and down. I think this lad will be a good signing and he is only 21 as well. Hamill is a vastly experienced, skillful (if not in very good physical condition )player and it will be interesting to see Scott challenging Jamie for the right back spot.

With Marshall at left back and slightly younger than Mercer, Queens could have two good full backs for a good number of seasons hopefully.

Mr Naysmith's 4 new players although 2 are only on loan look streets ahead of the likes of Moxon, Brotherson, Pickard, Nelson, Hooper etc who now cannot even make the bench - will they move on to lesser football or go out on loan ?

To think Pickard was almost an automatic pick up to not too long ago.

Wasn't at the game on Saturday. Any idea how young Mercer played on his debut ?
