Some more news regarding former Queens players

Last night Club Co/Managers Peter Weatherson and Ryan McStay left the club.
It was a Mutual agreement by both the club and the Management duo to part ways and the club would like to wish Peter and Ryan all the best for the future.
In their short time at the club we reached the sectional league cup final, sit comfortable in the league and brought in some very impressive players...
The club committee are already working on how to carry on the good work started by Peter and Ryan and will meet over the next few days to consider where we go from here.

Hope I haven't upset anyone by posting this

I remember he scored a fantastic goal up at Livingston while with us, rampaged down the right wing cut in at the bye line and hit it in from a near impossible angle. I see he also has a story in The News and Star paper that some on here like to read, saying he left suddenly for personal reasons, not unlike someone else we have recently read about, must be helluva stressful living in Cumbria these days. Suddenly this thread becomes interesting.

I'm not sure if you mentioned what club they were at but I found out that they were at Shettleston Juniors.

No worries. Ironically, I heard that Shettleston lost to my local junior club, Irvine Meadow last weekend, losing a goal late in the match.

Dom Thomas - Queens new loan signing from Motherwell picked for the SPFL's Team of the Week after a promising debut against Saint Mirren last Saturday.

Stevie Mallan Snr, the father of the current St Mirren player of the same name.
    1993-2000
    265 appearances
    94 goals
    2.8191489362 Goals to games ratio

On my arrival in Paisley on Saturday I had the pleasure of chatting to Stevie Mallan for about ten minutes. He says that he's still friends with Jim Thomson, Des McKeown and George Rowe. I told him about the goal that he scored in the Scottish League Cup match on 9th August 1997, in the 4-2 defeat to Dundee United. He says that I'm the first person to mention to him that this was a great goal. He recalls that Sieb Dijkstra was the Arabs keeper that day and that the ball spun off one of their players before he scored. He said that he was dropped to the subs bench by Alexander and he wanted to get on and score a goal.
