From my fingers and toes, I reckon McGhee's now had seven cup campaigns with us and got beyond the last 16 once (and we were also tonked by Nancy in the UEFA Cup)...there's clearly an odd moment of bad luck or two in there but over so many attempts, you can't blame ill fortune. Absolutely dismal, though he's clearly by no means the only one of our recent bosses to fail miserably in knock-out games.

Apart from Moult and maybe the Goal keeper they were all dreadful. I have never rated McManus but if you decide to defend 10 yards from goal you invited trouble, as we did for 85 minutes. Manager has to take the blame for yet more late goals, team are awful i'm afraid too.
The Rangers Goaly was spotted in the pie stall on 38 mins.

If we lose Moult were gone. End of.

Sure...and in actual fact, I even feel a wee bit sorry for him today - professionals should have seen out that game and then he'd have been praised for sitting back, taking the sting out of things and then striking to win. Ho hum.

we've been doing stuff like that for 60 years its not new we have a losers mentality and always will have. Its not coincidence that Motherwell have not put Rangers out the cup in 60 years.
