    Challenge Cup Semi Final 2017

Time for a bit of build up lads . It isn't every day we are in a domestic semi final after all. Qos Admin is getting his kilt pressed just in case and we will all be looking forward to it. The thing is though that we will be without John Rankin and Joe Thomson and it's hardly ideal when you need your strongest team available to have a reasonable chance . On the plus side , we are at home and recent results will give the home dressing room a lift . Who plays instead of these two and what's your thoughts ?

Hopefully we've more players in by then and they're not cup-tied

Hopefully some of the youths will play, like Bell and Moxon along with Dykes.

Yep, of our recent new signings only Thomas can play as Mercer, Rankin and Thomson are all cup-tied.

Be very surprised if Mr Naysmith fielded youngsters Bell and Moxon in this game tbh but may have to unless he can snap up a couple of more experienced players that are not cup - tied.

I forgot about Mercer but I suppose Hamill will play right back .Last thing we need are suspension's and injuries now.

Bit of a gamble getting shot of Anderson before bringing in a replacement player . If nothing else he was an experienced player on the bench

That's what I thought when there was talk about him going. On second thoughts , it would be very selfish of us to keep Grant for one game if he had a chance of getting himself fixed up with another club. I have heard he's signed for Peterhead but not sure.

There's Lyndon Dykes for consideration as well. Whether you could play him in centre midfield with Jacobs the sitting midfielder, I don't know. He's got plenty of energy for sure to surge forward and help the attack. It's an option !

Anderson signed on Friday Peterhead, as discussed on his thread on here.
