    Quite sure these boys are contracted to the summer Deek. I have no doubt that Mr Hewittson and Mr Blount won't get their fingers burnt AGAIN by these two. As said before, these boys are no shysters and gave their all in the limited times they have played for us. A shame for the young men that their careers look to be blighted by injury . They certainly don't deserve it for the appetite they've shown.

    Naysmith has previously stated that the team needed strengthening in both attack and defence. The lack of activity during the closing stages of the window would therefore suggest that the team is still lacking in these areas despite the initial burst of activity when useful players were brought in. It would be interesting to hear his thoughts now after the window has closed.

    Mr Naysmith admits in today's Standard that his main transfer target deal fell through at the last minute so it is now down to emergency loans or free agents

    According to the Sunday papers a player who spent last week at Palmy was striker Mason Robertson (22) son of ex - Aberdeen and Rangers player David Robertson - he has been studying in the USA and playing for Washington State University
