I still find it amusing they let him out to die and he died 2 years and 9 months later.
If they thought he did what he did then he shouldnt have ever been let out.
Anyway it was the Iranians that did it
Tam Dalyells last interview he said he will go to his grave believing he was innocent..
For me it's hard not to agree with him . What do you lads think..

There was something very fishy about the whole thing. Especially as the other guy on trial got off. Either they were both guilty or not.
From what I recall at the time the Syrians were the number 1 suspects and they followed that line of enquiry. Then Gulf War 1 started and the Syrians were then deemed friendly as the "allies" then had access to Syria for their bases. Then all of a sudden a circuit board appears that was traced to Libyans by the FBI/CIA. The UN observer at the trial in Holland was apparently quoted as saying he could not believe the guy was found guilty on the evidence presented as well as some of the evidence not presented by his defence. Even the Lockerby gent who was the families spokesman has said he thought he was innocent.

think you were both kinda right. apparently a former Iranian intelligence officer said Iran ordered it and it was carried out by a Syrian based terrorist group. Libya was the patsy for political reasons they did not want issues with Syria around the first gulf war. Pretty sure he was innocent personally.
Aye, the "letting him out to die" thing was a mechanism to make the appeal go away.
Hale thing well fishy.
