A disappointing result but Forfar were the better team on the day, not by much, but we didn't really deserve to take anything from the game.

Another game where there was hardly a sniff at goal for our forwards, we only had two chances for a goal, both in the second half. Doris put Ferns through, he left 2 defenders chasing him into the box but shot straight at the keeper. Late in the second half when Linn beat his man on the left, got along the by line into the box and fired in allow cross. Forfar scrambled the ball clear, their keeper colliding with one of his defenders and both required treatment. Other than that there was little to cheer about.

Doris again put in a lot of work but had very little support. When the ball is played forward he can hold it up but rarely has anyone coming forward from midfield to support him. He was brought down the box in the first half but the ref didn't think that tripping a player in the box was a foul.

I would have liked to have seen Malin on instead of Hodge, who, apart from being booked for what looked like a challenge with studs showing, was fairly anonymous. Gold had his poorest game of the season and Sukar was poor as well. With Montrose showing a big improvement we will need a much better showing next week if we are to keep our second place in the league which is the best we can hope for this season as Forfar would have to do what we did under Moore to lose the title.
