    New bazaar plaque

I believe that there is a plaque outside the New Bazaar pub, which says that Queens were formed there.
This is not exactly true. Queens were formed at a meeting in the Town Hall where the name was decided etc etc. The first meeting of the new club was subsequently held in the New Bazaar, where there were only two decisions made. One was to form a committee, the other not to hold any more meeting in licensed premises! They were going to decide the club colours, but it was announced that the old Arrol Johnston club were giving the new club their blue shirts. The YMCA was the next venue for meetings. Hope this clears something up.

As always, spot on. I was wondering how the club colours were decided on. Historical Football Kits is also a reliable source.

ODB - do you plan to ever publish a book with every result in it since Queens were formed in 1919 ? It could also feature goal scorers , average attendance , some match reports , player of the season , old photographs etc

Personally think it'll be a interesting read

I am actually working on the statistical side of things at present, having finished the complete history re-write for the centenary book up to last season. I have one or two ideas as to what I would like to do, so at present, it would s simply a case of watch this space, or ask me at Palmerston on a match day. Cheers.

I've collated the full league records for the club.

I'd imagine ODB will go into a lot more detail than that .
    That's very basic

I'm sure he will. I've lifted the stats from the official league tables book. ODB was telling me he is looking into Patterson's scoring record.

I don't know you at all ODB but it seems to me you are something of a football author. Perhaps you can answer a question that most Queens fans can't comprehend. Queens won a Scootish Cup-tie 12-1 against Whithorn and later 11-1 against Stranraer, yet the latter is given as Queens record victory. What the heck is that all about? If Queens were to get relegated to the Lowland League and won a game 14-0, would that no count either? Doesnay seem richt tae me!
