Just out of interest, Off all the managers we have had in the last 20 years, how many have the fans (Or some of them) demanded that they be sacked. I am willing to bet it will have been the majority...Lol

I respect your right to disagree but to most of us the club we love is not a business in the normal sense. Its not a cold investment decision. It should be about building a sustainable long term future for our club.

Indeed...in all my time I reckon the only manager (some) fans didn't want rid of was Eric Black - and that's just because he wasn't around long enough. In fairness there wasn't a lot of anger about Butcher though by his departure it seemed recognised it was time for both parties to move on.

Sure but as said already, you are not investing in the WS as a business proposition (or at least I hope you weren't!) - it's not a proper comparison.

Under Demptser/McCall, we played good football, set all kinds of records, were regulars in the top three. What happened? The fan base stagnated at best and we lost money. Reaction - we cut the budget to what we know we can afford and, unsurprisingly, have limited players, a patchy manager and fights against relegation. I'd say the club are operating exactly how they should be off the field.

The only thing the club has done correctly in recent years in my opinion is get a decent groundsman in. the rest is instantly forgettable.
