Norder - Spot on!!! 300mm yes Nikon!
I am near fish pools and with bird migration 500 species here ( Google Earth: Ein Hamifratz )

    Black Kite

There is a little story connected to this Kite, Together with a friend we saw the bird trapped in a fishermans net,With caution we tried to set it free using only a penknife, cutting away at the strings. After managing to cut part of it free we hoisted it to the middle of a dirt track road, trying to cut more and more, and without me noticing the bird flashed its claws and griped my index finger ,may I say such claws are like razors with its end points like a needle. It took hold and would not let go,its claws where already cutting my finger, also I could not break free. I was there for what seemed like 30 mins. Bending over with the bird not letting go of me! We began to phone the Nature authorities no success,it was Friday afternoon ,closed? Stuck like this in the middle of 'almost' like, nowhere. Stuck ,stuck, stuck with a bird holding my finger. ''May I say its been a long time since the last bird held anything!!!''
But you may all know that in this country miracles happened. A small ant came towards the bird climed over its wing, and crept towards its eye. Walking over the eye the bird became distracted by blinking! At that moment I managed to pull myself free. What a phucking relief!!!
We covered it with a blanket and took to someone that worked with the Nature Authorities and was set free. The blood on my finger was nothing, that the bird was set free was the happiness feeling!
