Thread: Next SLO meeting ?

  1. #81
We have built a positive relationship with the Celtic SLO however we are concerned that his position is nearly untenable due to the manner in which he is continually undermined by Celtic security staff. The SLO is required to "collaborate with the security officer on safety and security-related matters" however has been deliberately excluded from discussions of this nature which is in breach of the UEFA SLO Guidelines, as per article 35. His exclusion is a deliberate tactic adopted by the police and Celtic security to facilitate the targeting of our members.

Section taken from green brigade statement about thete ban queens slo never done this either

now iv been talking to a few of these supporters and the slo position isnt to represent the board like most queens fans think its to represent the fans wishes on safety policing security club and everything else the fans take interest in to do with queens ,now our young lads have been scared of by policing and stewarding over the last few seasons ,we need an slo to be speaking with police and stewards to be battering out a way to keep them of the atmosphere makers backs and maybe then youl see the younger generation come back .

The SLO, in all honesty, should be a neutral. Yes, they should have the club at heart, but they should be a 'half way house' between the board and the support. They should be the nearest thing to a supporter on the board, not in the effect that they sit in on board meetings, but they should be making the board aware (if they do not already know) of the concerns of the support on various subjects, whilst conveying messages from the board to the support, enlightening them with matter at hand.
The present is a critical time for the club as a whole and there is a huge amount of work to be done both off and on the park to ensure the future remains positive.
