    Gavin Skelton

has put his problems at Palmerston well behind him after being voted Division Two player of the month following several great performances in Annan Athletic's midfield as the Galabankies target the play - offs !

He has played ten games straight. I see Weatherson was injured before their game at the weekend.

As I have said before I wish Gavin all the best in his return to playing. He perhaps was not honed from the right stuff for football management but always came across as a really decent human being which may have been the issue prior to finishing at Queens.

Now that Chapman has jumped ship and headed off to Clyde I wonder what the odds are for Skelton returning to the managerial position at Annan? I suspect he will be installed as firm favourite but after fleeing the job at Palmerston it will be an interesting decision that Gavin will have to make however by training in Annan he would have less travelling issues from Cumbria and therefore less impact on his young families life. Stay tuned.

I reckon that it would almost be a certainty.

Was considering a job with Carlisle United before Chapman flew the coop but will he take the Annan job if offered ?
I would imagine the now retired Weatherston is also in the frame.

Skelton and Weatherson together could be an option.

I'm surprised at that. I thought he'd be in for the manager's job at Annan.

Aye , what a shock Skelton choosing a well paid full time job at Carlisle Utd or a not so well paid part time one at Annan
