I remember seeing him play a few times in the early 1970's, he was one of the best uncapped English goalkeepers around. Unfortunately he played in an era when we were blessed with excellent keepers.

He was the first goalkeeper i remember at Millwall as i started going in 1977. i don't think we have had a better keeper since.

I wonder if Charlie got his old man a seat at Spurs for the Sunday match as a pre Birthday treat as Davee who posted on here and has watched him play is in fact a Spurs fan. Millwall will be playing the last ever cup tie at White Hart Lane.
