    It's different this time around. We normally sack our managers after the game rather than hire them before it. Also between us we have sacked Steve McClaren and Billy Davies a total of six times which must be some kind of record.

    Of course they'll both want to get off to a good start...but the suggestion was that this is a battle to see who has got the best manager and that's just hype. What happens on Saturday means nothing in the long term except to Forest's chances of avoiding relegation. What Rowett finds out about his squad between now and the end of the season and what happens in the summer is far more important for us.

    Fudge it all you like but the fact remains you have no wiggle room and are in a relegation fight, whether rowett can or can't motivate our squad won't define our season, he'll just get an idea of who stays and who doesn't
