Tricky, you can be an offensive **** at times. Think you must still be in a sulk over the Netherlands seeing sense.
All a tad ironic given that the Scots seem by far and away the most nationalistic of the 'home' nations but it is possible to be patriotic - proud of your country because of what it achieves/stands for - without the attachments of blind nationalism - unconditional devotion to the flag despite what it sometimes stands for - which is what you seem to be about.

Indeed patriotism and nationalism are often mistakenly thought to be the same thing - but a lot of the SNP rhetoric covers both angles.

Personally I would vote to kick the scotch out of the UK Union, mainly because the SNP is such a pain in the arse.

The scotch were bankrupted by Panama before welcoming Union and they would be bankrupted if they leave the Union now. But, as you remainers would say - economics seem to come a poor second place to "freedom".

Once they have rendered themselves a 3rd world country when English (and Welsh / Irish) capital and jobs pull out, they have to invent a currency that would undoubtedly be unstable and deal with the population influx as expat scotch come home after liosng their work permits.

At the back of the EU queue along with Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro for their Grail of EU membership - which would be fiercely resisted by countries like Spain who fear Catalan/Basque separation if EU membership was easy to gain, they would just wither on the vine. A brain drain would surely follow leaving tourism and golf as income generation, although we could maybe create a few call centres there as wages would fall there while wages in India will continue to grow.

So go on Nicola - put your principles first.

Its a microcosm of UK leaving the EU but way more disastrous potentially. So please have as many votes as you need until you get your way Nicola - you can find a place in history as the leader who single handedly destroyed an otherwise reasonable economy (perhaps along with Treeza but at least her implementation has a chance od working out OK)

    Definition of nationalism
    1
: loyalty and devotion to a nation; especially : a sense of national consciousness (see consciousness 1c) exalting one nation above all others and placing primary emphasis on promotion of its culture and interests as opposed to those of other nations or supranational groups

Says nothing about being anti foreigner. It says, sense of loyalty and wanting the best for your own people.
    Not shut every foreigner out.

Can I just point out for you, something that you seem to be ignoring?

    SNP- Scottish NATIONAL Party.

    http://www.heraldscotland.com/opinio...c_nationalism/
I on the other hand regard Nationalism to be a United Kingdom.

    Dumb ****
You still miss the point as ever. The SNP though it does have National in it's title only wants to look after Scotland and does not have imperial aspirations as the UK always has. The United Kingdom was forced on to Ireland, Wales and Scotland by a domineering England in order to boss the world about and they now want out .Norway,Sweden,Finland & Denmark don't want themselves to be forced on each other and definitely would'nt opt for a United Scandinavia or Great Norseland .

During the voting of the EU referendum, the Scots highly voted to stay in the EU. Now as the time approaches for May, to envoke Article 50 and officially leave the EU, the majority of the Scottish people have now decided that they want to leave with the rest of the UK and not begin a second referendum. This has now given a huge headache, for Sturgeon and the majority of the Scottish people. All in all, what a huge mess. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotlan...itics-39315683

What are you on about now? Where did the United states of Scandinavia come from?
When has the UK last been Imperial?
Boss the world about? You are so far spaced out, it has to involve drugs. Do you get herbal marijuana?
You live so far in the past BASIE it's surreal.

Scotland/Wales/Northern Ireland benefit greatly from Englands coffers.None of them would survive on their own.
Wales, has mentioned nothing of independence. The majority of NI want to be in the UK and now Scotland is seeing the SNP for what it is.

So what is it with you and your loathing of everything British?

Tricky- You say that the Welsh have not asked for the independence . That's only because there are so many English living there forcing the Welsh off the property ladder. Plaid Cymru exists purely to achieve independence from the UK. Wales is the only country in the UK which officially has a dual language which was brought about in reaction to the English bossing them about by prohibiting the teaching of Welsh in Welsh schools.

    You're doing it again.
Slamming the English. Wales is part of the UK. Anyone in the UK can live where they want. How many Scots,Irish and Welsh live in England? Do I care? No.

If Wales feels it needed to preserve it's natural language, then brilliant. What about Gaelic? That should be up there as well.
Please tell me, how many English people you know of, that torch Welsh peoples homes though?
The UK currently has over 3 million Europeans living here(that we know of) straining our services-housing/medical/schooling/social system.
Yet you decide it's all because of the English ruining Welsh lives.
You need help, you really do.

Although I was talking about the Welsh, I was talking about the Scottish previously, and could talk about the Irish if necessary or anyone else we English have bossed about.Get that thir**** amp fuse fitted.
