Sounds good to me! Can we resurrect some of the stars from that day as well, show the modern day overpaid, over-hyped, prima donnas what a real game of football looks like!!
I actually think someday soon someone with my vision but a million times more endeavour will trademark and develop a new sport called '70s Football' with all the things, good and bad, that made it so special. **** pitches, standing only, cold Pukka Pies, at least one player in evry team capable of kicking an opponent over the stand, max three bookings and .05 sendings off per match blah blah. I'm serious, such an idea is WAAAY inside the boundaries of the world we currently have

Corrigan/Madeley/Harris/Hunter/Mackay/Storey/Bremner/Bowles/Case/McDonald/Marsh, makes me shudder just thinking of a team like that in today's game. It's all very well saying today's players would overrun any 70's team through sheer fitness as a game wore on but it's no use being fit if you've been decked into the mud a dozen times by Hunter's glass elbow
And they don't wear proper shin pads now!!! He he he, I'm positively drooling at the thought!!
What's Tommy Smith got to do to get a game or Nobbby Stiles? Terry Hurlock was pretty evil and Julian Dicks or Vinny Jones in more modern times. I would also want Duncan Ferguson up front instead as one of your more lightweight strikers! Even Kenny Burns if you could fit him on the coach. Razor Ruddock and Micky Droy on the bench with Graeme Souness and Roy Keane. perhaps a select XI could take on Don Revie's Leeds sides of the 70s enough of whom excelled at foul play to fill a whole team.
Until Rangers got relegated to the bottom division, I used to love the old firm games, they used to be a throw back to the seventies.
Scottish football is a bit like a throw back to the 70's!
