I see where you are coming from Mark but Naysmith is not the first QOS manager and won't be the last that more or less does not
watch the under - 20s. I remember Gordon Chisholm for one being asked the same query as you own.
Dear Mr. Naysmith,
Can I ask why you did not attend the under 20's match at Palmerston last Tuesday?
You may have a number of perfectly reasonable reasons for not being there, - but, - and its a huge but in my humble opinion; the lads in the under 20's have played exceptionally well all season; they had the opportunity to win the league,- which they did against Morton; but perhaps most importantly of all, - there was an opportunity for you to cast an eye over potential recruits to the senior squad?
Connor Murray had an outstanding match, and I'm sure you'd have played him against Raith, - if you'd seen him on Tuesday night.
There may be many who are not ready to step up to the level of the Championship, - but it would be a shame if some of our players slipped through the net, - simply because they're not given the opportunity.
After all, - I firmly believe that youth is the future and that we should try to nurture grass roots players.
This post is not meant to be an antagonistic one, - it is merely to facilitate the potentially smooth transfer of players who may be able to make it in the Championship.

Jardi as you're probably well aware there is a massive difference between 20's games and first team football. It's all well and good having an outstanding game for the 20's but the step up will be big, that said the only way to find out if any of these lads can make the jump is to try them.
Wouldn't expect Naysmith to attend most of the 20's games but yes it would've been a nice touch for him to have watched last weeks game. I would however expect Dougie Anderson to attend the 20's games to give the manager feedback.
Not sure how much truth there is in this but the rumour going about is that a lot, if not all of the 20's lads turning 20 this year have been told they're not getting their contracts renewed. Seems a bit strange when some of them have never been given a chance to show if they can cut it or not.
I believe one of the SFA Performance Director Malky McKay's plans for Scottish football is eventually to get rid of the under - 20s set up and return to clubs running reserve teams.
As I spoke to Mr Naysmith prior to interviewing him that day, I can indeed tell you he was heading down south to look at potential target for next season. As whoever target was had a midweek game he took opportunity to go and watch him in action. I am sure Mr Naysmith would have been there otherwise. I have no idea what club or player as I didn't ask (doubt he would have told me anyway)
