    The positive.

Academy players will HAVE to be blooded next season now. Look forward to that at least.

Couldn't agree more saxo but some of the senior team will have to be kept
fielding a full 11 from the academy and we could well drop again
this is a good opportunity to get rid of alot of deadwood on extortionate wages in comparison to their limited ability.

These are the exact sentiments expressed at Bolton last year but instead of the young talent being given a break, most were sold off or fired, "experienced" players were brought in and the average age of the first team went up rather than down. Depends on the manager and the degree of urgency to get promoted. In Bolton's case, starting from scratch in League 1 but still with a residual debt meant that promotion to the Championship was and is a financial priority so opportunities for youngsters were limited apart from those who were put in the shop window and sold. If the Venky's are willing to give it a year or two whilst the younger players come through then maybe they'll get a chance.

Aah yes, you've spotted the flaw in the plan/fly in the ointment.
There's no telling where this 'ride with Venkys' is taking us.
But theres yet another 'opportunity' for us to grab that escape ladder today, are we finally going to grab it?

Bolton have almost clinched an immediate return this season, although it was surprising to see them lose at Oldham today.
If and I say if Blackburn do go down, what do you think the chances are of coming straight back up ?

Since venkys took ownership, the club has only ever gone backwards acido. There is your answer.

Ohh dear, that bad is it Sax ?
When we went down 3 seasons ago we knew it wasnt the end of the world, and we've managed to learn from that and come back stronger. But the difference in Lg One especially if your team havent been there for a long time, is like a kick in the goolies!!

Now I know you and Alf dont mean it Turfy, you want them to stay up really dont you
I was laughing when the Blunts and Fowls and Leeds went down but to be honest I also missed the rivalry.
