To be fair, though defeat to DFC pushed them over the edge, DUFC's performance against all the others in the top-flight put them on the edge. Now if there was to be a head-to-head face off between DFC and DUFC in a play off, it would be spicy and more emphatically inflicted by the local rivals, whatever the outcome.

timing was only wrong in that it should have happened after the Aberdeen debacle, that was the time. Hartley relegated Doondab United and would have done the same to Dundee, had to go. As for doing a better job, couldn't do any worse.
