    Malpas back at ICT

If ever there was a last throw of the dice this is it. Malpas! Doomed and desperate.

Is he looking to move into Foran's position soon?

    Great news.

I actually think that is a good appointment from ICT's point of view. Malpas is a good coach, but a poor manager. He was the guy who worked on the tactics, formations etc while Terry Butcher was the man-manager/motivator. Malpas is a dour bugger who cannot inspire, but he can dissect opponents, work out their weaknesses and set up his tactics accordingly. It might work for them but as long as we look after ourselves we should keep ahead of them.

Probably the best appointment we could've wished for - he's the cousin of the Grim Reaper !

Just what I used to think, but in actual fact it was the other way around believe it or not.

Really!? Hard to imagine given their respective (public) personalities. Book, cover etc.

ICT are clearly somewhere between the move we made with Robinson in February and Dundee now...they need to do something - anything - but can't afford to sack Foran on his long-term deal. Bringing back the old boy is a convenient and cheap way to give the dice a risk-free roll.

Yes, very much at odds with their public personas, but thats the way it was.
