That’s a nice enough idea and the end result (if that’s the new crest pictured at the top right of the article) isn’t disastrous, as may have been feared. An accompanying motto to commemorate the luckiest escape in the club’s history would have seemed fitting, though:

Thank you baby Jesus, Tarzan (and Boy) and NORAD for giving us the strength and wisdom to resist Sir David Murray’s overtures all those years ago.

Something like that. But in Latin, obviously, to give the thing some depth. (Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum videtur.)
