    2017/18 Championship fixtures

The fixtures will be released on June 21st 2017 and the season kicks starts on August 5th. I'm hoping next season turns out to be a better one than this one!

    Next Season's Fixture Information

August the fifth! Bloody hell that's early. But that's OK I am hoping to be back in late August for a couple of weeks so I will be able to take in a couple of games. A nice away day up north would be nice, Sunderland hopefully.

We know that Bolton, Sheffield United and Sunderland will be new opponents for next season.

Of the four in the League One Playoffs, who would you rather have? S****horpe, Fleetwood, Bradford City or Millwall?

And of the few fighting relegation, who would you like to see come down? Middlesbrough, Hull City, Swansea? Burnley, West Ham and Palace could still go down I suppose, but I don't see them gaining less than the point or two needed for safety.

Personally, I hope Fleetwood are promoted. Their current finish is the best in club history. But I also don't go to the away matches, so I can't speak for the quality of the away days of the playoff contenders.

As for those coming down, I think it will be Boro and Hull. Swansea are two points back of Hull, but their three matches are against clubs with nothing left to play for. Hull finish the season at Tottenham. My friend is a Swans fan, so I hope they stay up (though it would be fun to have two matches against them next season).

Deffo would like Fleetwood as one of the few league grounds I haven't been to other than that not bothered but Millwall would be fine as I do like me London awaydays!

Fleetwood or Scun.thorpe would be my choice, i've never been to Fleetwood's ground, and only ever visited Scun.thorpe's former ground.

Its a West Yorkshire thing for me of course, and I would like to see Bradford win the play offs this season.
If its not them, then Id like to see Fleetwood win it instead.

I find amusing that the premier league aka 'a league of their own' have released their fixtures today. A week before the Football league release theirs.

I haven't watched it yet but I imagine Sky Sports are already dribbling over what dates Chelsea v Man City, Arsenal v Spurs are, etc, etc, etc, ad infinitum until bored senseless.....

There is some bloody rubbish in that league although I hope Brighton and Huddersfield survive and upset a few.

First round draw for the League Cup was held today. Wolves will host Yeovil Town sometime the week of August 7. Apparently the first competitive meeting between the two clubs.

It's a pity the game wasn't been played away, i could then add Yeovil Town to my lists of away grounds visited.
