That was the best I've seen Arab Strap live, they're a lot better with having an extra rhythm guitarist and violin. Good to see that Aidan is still a grumpy auld cvnt as well.

I didn't know much about Richard Dawson before and he blew me away tbh - very original.

Thats 1st time I've been to the Tivoli and they've made a really good job of restoring it - the Music Hall should be just as good when its finished as well.

I really enjoyed the Arab Strap gig. The crunch from the rhythm guitar was awesome.

Agreed, it's a nice venue. Just back from Kathryn Joseph & Scott Hutchison (Frightened Rabbit) again at The Tivoli. Both were excellent.

It seems to be mostly used for the True North festival (gig wise) but my mate was saying they've had some other gigs in there.
It was refurbished in recent years.

Though it was a great night on Friday. Both Arab Strap and Richard Dawson were brilliant (shame the latter only got a half hour slot).

Also my first time at The Tivoli so it was good to get a look around. Nice wee auditorium and the building has a real vintage atmosphere with all the low roofs and narrow corridors and nooks and crannies.
