I saw the Beta Band back then and seen Mason solo a few times over the years and could be a bit hit/miss but hes defo come on to a game live now. His band are top notch.

Anybody going to see The Angelic Upstarts at Drummonds on Thursday. I wouldn't normally bother with this punk nostalgia but I was keen to see the redskin Mensi before it's impossible

I see The Billy Walton Band are playing Drummonds 10th (I think) April.

Never seen these live, I have a couple of their albums and they're OK, but I've heard stories from eye witnesses that these absolutely bring it live.

I may be tempted through to that depending on other Scottish dates.

Hard to believe UK Subs managed to get anyone to back them because when they first played the 62 club circa 1978 they only had a 20 minute set and played it 2 or maybe even 3 times.


I was almost certainly there but couldn't say I remember any of it.

I think that Subs/Exploited gig was my 2nd, after The Skids at The Music Hall.
Does anyone know the date of the 1st Crass show at The 62 Club? Saw them again in The Music Hall in 1981 so it was obviously before that. I left that 1st Crass gig with 1 of their banners which I'm selling to a punk memorabilia collector in New York who's offered me daft money for it. He wants to know the exact date of the gig but I canna find it anywhere online. Need to get rid quick because the drummer is on my case. Apparently the 'missing banner' was a thing.
