    Champions....

Has ever a team been top of the league in a season for so little time ? It matters not, it is at the end of the 46 games which counts. We will receive the trophy in a few hours time on the Common and deservedly so I feel. The run they have put together since the Crewe debacle is truly amazing. in some ways similar to the run Northampton put together last season. The whole team was deservedly named M.O.T.M. and I couldn't argue with that. KB who has often been slagged off by fans in the ground and elsewhere was awesome today, as he has been for a while. How Clarke didn't win one end of season award is beyond me, He is Mr Consistency. Enjoy your Summer. P.U.P.

Yes we will wear our pompey shirts with pride at calis market (fethiye Turkey) today as champions & what a way to do it, let's hope the ownership gets sorted sooner rather than later.

If yesterday doesn't swing it, nothing will!

Pompey have now won all four divisional titles, is that correct? Not many clubs have done that, can only think of Wolves.
The fans have deserved this. Credit due and congratulations.

Credit deserved indeed. Massive preparations were underway on the Common when I passed this morning. Kernow I read earlier today that there are 4 now. Wolves, Burnley, Preston and now Pompey. I wouldn't have got that right without reading it. BRAVO ZULU Pompey

You can add Sheffield United to that illustrious list.......I blame the alcohol!! What a fantastic day at the Park yesterday.......I've seen some fantastic and memorable matches involving Pompey down the years........promotion matches, FA Cup Finals/Semi Finals, last day survival matches and even the unbelievable day at the Hawthorns where every Pompey fan wanted the opposition to win and somehow yesterday meant just as much as all of those days together. Sure it hasn't been the most memorable season of Football in our histroy but somehow after the Crewe disappointment this team just seemed to click......I was thinking in the week I wonder if the Team missing out on the Championship by a point or two would be disappointed and have some regrets.......well i didn't need to worry did i!! What a way to win a League Title.......the scenes at the end were fantastic......my brother and I took my Dad who's 75 onto the pitch at the end and that was very special!! Here's to a great summer.......perhaps a change of ownership and a new season in League One. I know its often said but its true......life as a Pompey Fan is never Boring!! PUP!

Apparently we were top for 34 minutes in total. An incredible, rollercoaster season and I agree with most that Crewe was the turning point.

It was the turning point for me. The run they went on after (just the Stevenage loss) was incredible. The best bit for me was when I got a text saying Plymouth drew, we are the champions. There had been wifi problems during our game in the North Stand for sure, some were saying Donny were still drawing although I had 2 texts by then saying they were 2.1 down. I did laugh at the number of people who managed to get in at the end when the gates were opened to let a few out. Fair play to them they will have enjoyed the celebrations too.
