Both seasons show a temporary lack of control over the players. It will be interesting to see what his legacy is for the 2017-18 season.
We will never know if Paul Dickov would have managed to keep us up in League One, but we DO know that Darren Ferguson was the man who allowed us to go down. Promotion only makes amends for the relegation. He has yet to prove himself as a good manager, although mid-table at the end of next season will be a start.
