You don't get rid of players if you can get cash for them! Also you'd have to pay up their contracts.
Players leaving Derby:
Alefe Santos, Tom Mellors and Julien de Sart.
Players staying:
The whole squad.... wtf?

They keeping the whole squad apparently and Rowett is using the same type of players for the new season, the promise to fans on getting rid of a lot of players was a load of bull shi*. Talk scene is going to be interesting to listen to tonight, if it's on that is.

What you are missing is that this doesn't mean DCFC HAVE to keep them, just that they aren't getting rid at the mo. In the world of football transfers, its going to be a long, hot summer, and while the players are lying on the beaches looking at the peaches, Gary and his minions may be doing all manner of deals. Don't just take my word for it, ask Hugh Cornwell
Surely you put up a list of players showing who is likely to be sold, rather then put up a full list of players who you have no idea who is going to be sold and look like they are sticking with the current squad, because this list is giving off that sense to me.
It's a factual statement to the league, rather than a "who we'd like to keep or not" list. It doesn't mean anything in terms of preferred summer activity.
Hopefully this list of players who we have said to the EFL that we are keeping for the current season, ends up not being the overall end result, that we will be playing with because drastic changes do need to be made because if this list ends up being the overall squad, we will be using for the current season there will be a lot of fans outraged by this as they were promised big changes.
I'm not sure what you expected. We've been talking for weeks about how to offload players without taking a huge financial hit.
As with anything you might want to sell...a house, a car, whatever...you make sure it is at it's best before you try and sell. In a footballer's case that includes making out that he's a potentially valuable part of the team. Attaching the label 'been a huge disappointment and is seldom fit' isn't really likely to fetch us a decent price and there are those little things called contracts.
There is a thing called 'cut price deals' so it helps to offload players to clubs that need players at a low price and are on a tight budget.

Basically we are not releasing for free any of our first team squad, why is this a surprise ? If any acceptable bids are received then the manager and the board will discuss.
What did you expect ? To give away players who we paid millions for ?
