The solution may require *shock horror* less immigration from Muslim countries while we try to absorb the recent levels of immigration. We can put our heads in the sand and pretend that the growth of Islam in the West isn't a problem while repeating the non sequitur mantras "not all Muslims" and "islamophobia". Just because most Muslims are 'perfectly nice people' (they're just people) doesn't mean that our existing culture and institutions can absorb an indefinite number of people from Muslim countries for an indefinite period. Immigrants do not magically become westerners if you close your eyes and just wait long enough. We're well past the point where mere tolerance is going to solve the problem. If you're worried about (white) extremists coming out of the woodwork then stop leaving the podium empty for them because they'll sure as hell grab it if no one else does.
